The McGovern Historical Center has two locations for its rare book collections and archival collections.

The Rare Books Room in the TMC Library holds rare books from the McGovern History of Medicine Collection and the Burbank-Fraser Collection on Arthritis, Rheumatism, and Gout. These materials can be found in the Jesse Jones Library Building at 1133 John Freeman Boulevard.

The Historical Research Center is home to Archival Collections as well as Rare Books from the Detering Collection on Psychiatry and Photography, Dow Collection on Dentistry, Mading Collection on Public Health, and Menninger Collection on Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis. The Historical Research Center is located at 8272 El Rio, Suite 190.

Visitors to the McGovern Historical Center are asked to complete the User Registration form and Make an Appointment.
