The Quarterly Journal of the Geriatric Academic Career Award is a new open-access online peer-reviewed journal for recipients of GACA grants. It showcases junior faculty research and includes topics in non-traditional and previously unaddressed areas of geriatric practice.

The GACA Journal is/was supported by funds from the Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Geriatric Academic Career Award (K01). The Geriatric Academic Career Award Program has funded 88 individuals ($64,153 per awardee; total amount: $6,077,342) in FY 2007.
