Texas State Board of Medical Examiners Records at the McGovern Historical Center

Born and educated in China, Moore Yen was a professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He initially came to Texas in 1948 for his postgraduate training, but when "the whole political situation in China change...it was impossible for him to return home. " His file includes his application , administrative correspondence and letters of recommendation (sadly, no photograph).
