Historically, medicine was an art far before it was a science, and corners of its history lay in the macabre. Magicians, healers, and finally, those we call doctors, through trial and error attempted to solve peoples’ problems through well-intended treatments. Some of the items in this exhibit highlight some of these attempts. Today, through scientific research and knowledge, we now know what these “medicines” are: toxic. Find out more from the blog post, " Toxic Medicine Exhibit: Toxic Medicines".
