The Houston Drug Company was a business that was emblematic of the early days of drug business and pharmaceutical manufacturing in Houston, Texas. The various logs are all from the laboratory of the Houston Drug Company, a Texas corporation, formed in 1895. Its original stockholders included some notable names in Houston's history, William Marsh Rice (Rice University) and Captain James A. Baker (Baker Botts). The business was located at 110 and 112 Travis Street, according to its letterhead.
