Leadership, training, and the implementation of EHR systems
Abstract
As a result of the meaningful use mandate, many practices are starting to think about implementing an electronic health records system if they don't already have one in place. The goal of this research is to study the role that leadership and training have on the implementation of electronic health records in small physician practices in Houston. Using the technology acceptance model as a theoretical framework, the PI surveyed physicians and practice managers from practices with an EHR in place as well as those without.
