Partial payment to Gail Borden, Collector of Public Dues for the Department of Brazos, for the second installment on one league of land, granted to and signed on behalf of self, Thomas J. Gazley.


Thomas Jefferson Gazley (1798-1853) was a physician, legislator, delegate at the Convention of 1836 and signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. Gail Borden, Jr. (1801-1874) was an inventor, publisher, surveyor, and founder of the Borden (milk) Company.
