The Insider was the Library’s web-based newsletter and was published 6 times a year. It ceased publication at the end of 2008. It included information on:

- Updates to databases from the National Library of Medicine such as PubMed, Medline Plus, Wiser or TOXNET
- Clinical Alerts
- Newsletter information from the National Institutes of Health
