Irma E. "Betty" Hightower. Ms. Hightower was born on December 27, 1924 in Marshall, TX. She graduated from Marshall High School she received her Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas Baptist University. She graduated on May 20, 1945 from the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Houston, TX. She worked as a nurse anesthetist in hospitals in Texas and Louisiana for over 30 years before retiring from Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, See more at https://archives.library.tmc.edu/ms-247.

Abstract
